Come literary travelers, mountain explorers and all who are curious about how we can interact, play and build a relationship with our natural world.
Page Turner’s Middle-Grade Reading & Adventure Event will feature Pat Toole and Sara Miller, authors of the Colorado Book Award Nominee for Juvenile Literature: Path of the Thunderbird: A Grand Canyon Adventure. Path of the Thunderbird is a middle grade adventure novel about four friends armed with maps, camping gear, and lots of food and water, set on a treasure hunt through the grand canyon. Learn and explore alongside these twelve-year-olds as they hike from clue to clue through treacherous terrain.
Then, be taken back to Colorado with Explore More! By the Evergreen Audubon and Jenna Audlin. This fun activity book encourages kids to interact with the outdoors in a variety of ways like; hiking, respectful recreation, birding, wildlife and plants. The Evergreen Audubon and Jenna Audlin will lead our attendees in exercises outlined in Explore More! You’ll even be able to meet a bullsnake!
Along with the reading and activity lead by the authors, you’ll have the chance to have your books signed.
Are you brave enough to take on the Grand Canyon and the Colorado wildlife in one afternoon?
